Photographic retouching

The group photo below, taken for one our clients [Jordan Dental Care] is typical of any group photo.

The problem is, trying to get everyone's attention at once - everyone smiling, no eyes blinking when the flash goes off etc.

The way to overcome this is to take several photos of the same group, allowing us to work photographic magic, back at the studio.

Have you spotted the change we made yet?

In all we took six photos of the same group in the same position. But each time some one was blinking, someone had red eye, or someone was looking away. The photo finally selected after close inspection of all of them was the one which had everyone with their best smile but one - the nurse second from the left [enter their name].

The picture below (with enlarged inset) highlights the area we changed. Now can you see the updated area? If we have done a good job then you can't.

But to give you that helping hand, move your mouse pointer over the enlarged inset and you will see what she was up to before the rework.

And here is the original photo. Lets face it, being part of a line up in a group photo is never an easy task, so nobody could be blamed for looking away. But for that perfect web page a bit of computer magic does not hurt.
